Jason Carroll

Jason Carroll obtained his B.Sc (1st Hons) at University of Melbourne, Australia, followed by a PhD in 2002 in cell cycle biology with Prof Rob Sutherland at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. He conducted postdoctoral work with Prof Myles Brown at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School from 2002-2006 and was an Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School from 2004-2006. He moved to Cambridge, UK to run his own laboratory in 2007. He is currently a senior group leader at Cancer Research UK, University of Cambridge and a fellow of Clare College, University of Cambridge. He is an EMBO Young Investigator and a recipient of an ERC Starting grant. He is a senior editor at Molecular Cancer Research and on the editorial board of several journals including Cancer Research, Nucleic Acids Research, Endocrinology, Molecular Endocrinology, BMC Cancer, Open Biology and Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism. His lab is interested in understanding the genomic mechanisms of estrogen receptor function in breast cancer.
